For Grampa's birthday dinner we went to Sapporo's and the whole cooking "show" was really fun to watch. Micah was enamored with it.

Happy Birthday 91 years young!
I love how this picture captures the sweet, sincere, young-feeling Grampa I know.
(Tera could only find one candle in which to represent 91.)

In front Dallin, Grampa, Carter, Linnea and Maila)
(Sorry my camera has such yellowish coloring. I think Micah must have been playing with it and now I don't know how to fix it. I am such NOT a tech person.)
My Grampa is such a great example to me of love and charity and service. He has devoted his whole life to helping others and trying to do the right thing. He loves his family so much; I think his very favorite thing is when the whole extended family gets together--there is quite a group of us! He has lived a long, fulfilling, whole life and we love him dearly! I'm so grateful that my children can know him and see his example.

New Addition
Don't let this face fool you!
Albert talked me into another dog! I have fought him on it for over a year.
Seriously, who needs two dogs? Especially when I have to take care of them.
She needs some medication right now though and I make Albert literally stick those down her throat. I'm not going to do that.
We have not had her a week yet and she has chewed up the following:
- Albert's favorite, irreplaceable shoes
- Micah's stuffed lamb
- Micah's favorite book, "Goodnight Moon"(guess what he's getting for Christmas if we can wait that long)
- Micah's toothpaste tube
- Part of the book "Nightmare in my closet"
- Albert's flashlight
- a towel
- This one is the worst because it's mine: my "favorite most comfy walking around and still trying to be somewhat stylish" Born ballet flats in a tarnished bronze color that matches everything. I caught her early on and then played with the glue gun and perhaps they can still be okay but not like-new condition anymore. I called Albert and he made me think of all the shoes I can buy when we breed her and sell her puppies. We'll see.

Gavin's Soccer
Gavin is a Super Blue!
Pacific Grove's teams were all filled up by the time I got around to registering so he went and played on a Carmel team with his cousin Maila and in which his uncle Jared coached.
It was so much fun for him!
Gavin is quite a talented little soccer player and loves it.

Trunk-Or-Treat
Since Halloween is on a Sunday this year, our ward had the Trunk-Or-Treat on Saturday.
(I may post a different picture of him in his Ninja costume.)
This was also the first year we really did much decorating of our car. I know its not much but more then usual. Also, Albert made a Halloween cd that was playing music--mostly Harry Potter songs along with Ghostbusters Theme Song.

Feelin' a Little Love
Inside was a little cloth envelope with a star button closure and stars forming my own personal horoscope.
Upon opening, it read, "What's in the stars for you, Scorpio?" and a coupon for a percentage off as a birthday treat. Anthro knows how to do things {just right}.

Fracture
My poor husband.
I took him to the doctor with a throbbing foot and the doctor asked him how it happened.
Albert responded that he had been playing soccer.
The doctor looked in his notes and recalled that the last time Albert had been in it was because he had been playing soccer.
Maybe he's too old for soccer.
I think he thinks its worth it, regardless.

Yummy Snack Idea
Originally it was whole wheat or whole grain bread spread with butter and sprinkled with garlic powder. Then lay on tomato slices and a slice of cheese and broil till cheese is melted. I like it that way but I drizzle olive oil in place of the butter and I like to sprinkle dill weed on top as well. I also like to sometimes replace the bread with steamed zucchini (because I love, love, love zucchini) and its delicious too.
