Today Albert is the BIG 30!!!! He's feeling great about it actually. It's really funny because he had a harder time turning 28 then 30. He is exercising and eating great and feeling great and so turning 30 isn't so bad. I'm proud of him taking such good care of himself the last year or so. It helps not to be working 12+ hour days too. Unfortunately he is gone today though. He went on a little business trip to Oakland. He left this morning and will be home tomorrow night. However, we did have a nice birthday dinner celebration for him on Friday night. Grampa Neufeld took us all out to dinner. This has become a fun tradition for us. On each birthday, the birthday person gets to pick the restaurant and Grampa treats us all there. Albert picked El Torito on Cannery Row. Tera and Jared and their family were there as well as Aunt Marilyn and Mom and Dad. Then afterward we came back to our house for some apple pie and ice cream. When I asked Albert what kind of cake he wanted me to make, he said he wanted apple pie instead and was very specific of what recipe (Sister Lemon's from our ward) and wanted it made with Pink Lady apples.
