Dressing Up for Halloween?

So, do you dress up for Halloween?
I began being a witch every year. It was easy and I could drive down to my local Rite Aid for a new Witch hat if I needed one.
Then, I bought a poodle skirt and saddle shoes for another kind of party and ended up wearing that for Halloween the next several years. It's cute.

Now, I am desperately hoping I will win this beautiful frock to wear to our Halloween party this year!
It is hand sewn by the ever-so-talented Kathleen from Grosgrain. Isn't it amazing?! I could never dream of sewing something as fabulous.

Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze

Isn't this cute of Micah?! He was SO excited about all the pumpkins! I could hardly get a picture because he was running all around looking at everything. Earthbound Farms really has the cutest fall set-up. They even had a horse made out of corn husks.
I wish I would have gotten a picture of it.
We had fun over fall break driving out to Carmel Valley and spending the afternoon.

This was an awesome veggie/cheese sandwich--all organic of course and delish!
The kids got ice cream. Linnea is so good about sharing with Micah.
The kids always love this little herb garden.
The sprinklers happened to be on and it was a warm day so the kids ran through them a little.
Gavin found the perfect pumpkin.
Cute Micah.

Last year a storm ruined it so we were so glad it was in tact this year.

Court of Honor

Last night Jacen's Boy Scout troop had a Court of Honor.
Jacen recieved many merit badges and achieved rank of Life. Good job Jace!
So much work goes into each rank! It is really an accomplishment.
Now he is working on his Eagle. I'm so proud of him.
I even got a pretty little heart scouting pin for my efforts in helping Jacen.
(I think Dads should get one too.)

I Want a Hug

Do you want to give me a hug??

Go Giants

Go Giants!
Micah was in the kids bedroom while I was in the other room. He came in with Gavin's hat on.
Already a Giants fan.

Dinner and Dancing

Our ward had a dinner/dance. It was quite fun. We enjoyed a dinner among friends and watched a great show. Seriously, we have some talent in our ward! And then we had the opportunity to learn some dance steps. I loved learning a little bit of ballroom dancing.
Aren't they amazing?!

Sorry for the blurry picture but it was the only full body shot.
I'm ready for another dance!

Coalinga

What Linnea wanted to do most is ride her Grama's horses.
What Gavin wanted to do most was go shooting.
He, Grampa Jim, Jacen and Albert all went shooting.
It was Gavin's first time and he was quite excited!
Grama's bird is always a big hit.

Water Fights At Grama's House

Fall Break--The Aquarium

Half of the week of Fall Break we stayed home so one day we went down the street to the always amazing Monterey Bay Aquarium. Linnea and Gavin each took a friend with them and we had fun as always.

Micah loves Splash Zone, and especially the area just for very small ones.
It was so nice and empty the day we went (I don't even bother to go in the summer!) so we had all the opportunities we wanted to get up close with the critters.

I loved this cute blue-billed duck.

Here below, this huge splash splashes over your head. Micah was unsure of it at first.
Gavin loved it!
Linnea marveling at the pretty anemones.
Gavin and his friend played a Rocky Shore game where they had to step around the delicate tidepools to keep the little creatures safe.

Gavin's Pumpkin

Gavin was so excited to carve his pumpkin! He did it all by himself (with perhaps a small bit of help from Linnea). Isn't it awesome?!
