The above picture is my Grampa and Grama close to the time they were married. Their whole lives were ahead of them...just starting out. I love this picture. And I love knowing the people they became. My Grama has been passed away for eleven years now and I miss her dearly. I know I will miss my Grampa as well but I'm so happy thinking of their sweet reunion. I'm so grateful for my testimony that life continues beyond the grave and we will be a family for all eternity. I love my whole family and want to be with them forever. My Grampa is so sweet and good and honest and truly compassionate. People don't come any better.
The Measure of a Man
Not-
“How did he die?”
But-
“How did he live?”
Not-
“What did he gain?”
But-
“What did he give?”
These are the units
To measure the worth
Of a man, as a man,
Regardless of birth.
Not-
“What was his station?”
But-
“Had he a heart?”
And-
“How did he play
His God-given part?”
Was he ever ready
With a word of good cheer,
To bring back a smile,
To banish a tear?”
Not-
“What was his church?”
Nor-
“What was his creed?”
But-
“Had he befriended
Those really in need?”
Not-
“What did the sketch
In the newspaper say?”
But-
“How many were sorry
When he passes away?”

Sorry for your loss Jaime.
I understand, I'm grateful to know that I will see my mom again someday. I think I would be immeasurably sad if I didn't know that! It is still hard losing lived ones, I'm sorry for your loss!
Jaime-Sorry to hear about your grandpa-please give my condolenses to your mom as well.
