the little giraffe was born on 25th of May in the year 1961...
Saint Sophie's Day!
In those days the only animal toys were farm animals or pet animals.
That is why one day in France, a certain Monsieur Rampeau designed out of rubber a giraffe--quite exotic in those days!
All in all, she is made 100% of rubber from the Hevea tree and soft and shaped perfectly for baby hands to hold and chew.
I'm going to buy a bunch for baby gifts.
