What we're doing now...

This may be my favorite purchase ever.A break in the rain and a warm sunny day calls for some good bouncing.

30 sec. set up.
2 minute put away.
2 hours of exercise for them.
2 hours of free time for me.

Excitement at our house!

Micah has recently acquired two new teeth that are growing in beautifully.

Then this morning, Gavin announced very excitedly that he lost a tooth!!

(Another one is loose too.)

He's super excited for the tooth fairy visitor that will be in his bedroom tonight!

Linnea's Sewing

Linnea got a sewing machine for Christmas that we are both excited about learning to use.

I am not a seamstress.
I want to throw my sewing machine through the window when I use it.
I do; however, like craft projects and the money I save by doing things myself.

I would like to learn with Linnea how to sew simple projects.

This is the first project that my Mom actually helped Linnea with. I can take no credit.

Linnea did a great job! The pajama pants turned out perfectly except for Micah's little mark.

Micah crawled under the table and sat on the sewing peddle. The sewing machine started zooming and we all screamed. Micah cried because we were all screaming and then when we turned off the machine and retrieved the pajama pants, we decided to leave Micah's cute little mark to remind us of that story.

Fish!

We have wanted to get a fish tank for a really long time--at least a few years we have talked about it. We finally did get a 29 gallon and each of us picked out a couple fish.

It's so much fun to watch them!

Crazy Sleeper Baby

I had to "reteach" Micah to sleep in his bed after some bad habits developed when he was sick. This is how he often falls asleep now after crying for a bit. He wakes up with mesh prints on his face. Thankfully, he is doing splendidly "relearning."

Fascination with Birds

The kids LOVE my Mom's bird, Chirpy.
They love to take him out of his cage and hold him.
(I'm always afraid one of the cats will get in and pounce him.)
Gavin usually holds him on his finger but this time tried letting him on his shoulder. I think he kissed Gavin's ear.
Micah loved him too.
It almost makes me want to get a bird. Almost. I'm not ready to have something else to clean up though.

Jumping

How I wish I had one of these.
We visited my mom and dad and they do.
Exercise, fresh air, release of energy.
I even had a lot of fun jumping...and my abs were a teeny bit sore after.

Maybe if I wish hard enough...

Micah had a marvelous time eating spaghetti and got so very messy. I have never given him a bath in the sink before but I was tired and he was messy and my back was hurting so badly (need a chiropractor every day!) so I resorted to the kitchen sink. I know it sounds crazy but it worked and he got clean and my back was saved. I remember occasionally giving Jacen a bath in the sink too. Please don't judge me too harshly. These pictures that Linnea took were just too cute not to post.

Where I've been...

I've been a tired frazzled Mom.

With way too much to do...

..and if one thing gets slightly bumped, it'll all come crashing down around me.
