What a boy, huh?! This is my nephew--the picture opportnity was too cute to pass up. He's holding a handful of banana slugs! The kids all love to talk about Grama kissing a banana slug!

Proud Big Brother
Can you tell by my lack of posts that I've been busy? I'm enjoying summer with my children and we've been busy! Plus, our little Micah keeps us hopping! Here is Gavin -- proud to be a big brother. The other day I came into the room and Gavin was sitting on the bed talking to Micah and telling him all the things great about kindergarten. (We have been telling Gavin all the great things about kindergarten.) Gavin also tells me several times a day how lucky we are to have a sweet baby. He calls Micah "precious". I'm glad the children are so in love with him. We all are. I love being a mother.

Quoteable Quotes
At the pizza parlor: Maila (Tera's little girl): "What are you doing?" Me: "I'm getting ready to feed Micah." Maila: "What are you going to feed him? Pizza?"
Linnea: "Mom, all of your pregnancy and labor and having him... it was all worth it."
Gavin: "Mom, Micah is like a little boy or something..."

Split
Yesterday was my first day back to church. Two weeks of missing was too long for me. It was so strange though... I woke up bright and early to get ready--no time for making my usual breakfast spread because of the early 8:30 start time, I drove into the parking lot at about 8 minutes 'till and actually found a parking spot within the parking lot (no walking down steep hills in 3 inch heels for me that time!), walked in and the overflow was closed, I actually quickly found a seat within the chapel (I don't think the projector which displays the sacrament meeting was even set up in the cultural hall). Some of those things are nice but I will really miss seeing half of my ward family each Sunday. But the church is growing, the missionaries are working hard and the gospel is so true. Thus, wards must split to accommodate the growth.

Micah's First Outings
In an effort to get my other children out of the house and busy, Micah has had some grand adventures in his short little life so far. Here are some pictures of a few starting with the most recent. We don't have pictures of all the softball games Micah has attended to support his daddy (who placed second in the PG league and then started in a Monterey league--we'll get pictures).

Strawberry Picking, Micah is 14 days old and pleasantly oblivious to all the fun. I guess he'll get his strawberries in a round-about way. (:

Linnea and Gavin--great berry pickers
I wish I would have had my camera with me afterward when we went to the barnyard/picnic area. Tractors, haystacks, and homemade pies...what fun! We will definitely be back!
Gavin took this picture of Linnea and Micah and I. Micah is 13 days old.
